Victorian mourning jewellery
Top left: Brooch about 1838, British,
Cast gold with black enamel and plaited hair under glass, with inscription "IN MEMORY OF" ; engraved on the reverse "George Ashby Obit 23rd Nov. 1838, aet 51 years"
Top right: Brooch about 1860, Irish, Carved bog oak mounted in gilt metal
Bottom left: Locket, 1871 British, Set with diamond monogram"JE" and "EE"; inscribed around the frames of the hair compartments "+ Jarvis Empson, born June 28th. 1793, died March 28th. 1871" and "+ Elizth. Empson, born 17th. April 1784, died July 24th. 1867".
Bottom right: Necklace, about 1875, carved jet, Probably made in Whitby, North Yorkshire, or its surrounding area.

上左：ブローチ、1838年頃、イギリス製。型流しゴールドに黒エナメル地に「思い出の」記述、ガラス下に編んだ髪が封印されている。裏に「ジョージ ・アシュビー1838年11月23日没 享年51歳」の記述。
上右：ブローチ、1860年頃、アイルランド製。金張りメタルにオーク埋れ木材彫り。
下左：ロケット、1871年、イギリス製。オニキス地にダイヤモンドで「ＪＥ」と「ＥＥ」の記述。髪の毛を入れる部分の縁に、「＋ジャーヴィス・エン プソン、1793年6月28日生、1871年3月28日死去」と「エリズ・エンプソン、1784年4月17日生、1867年7月24日死去」の記述。
下右：ネックレス、1875年頃、ジェット彫り、北ヨークシャー、ホイットビー、または周辺地区製。

Bordeaux Set
This is my entry for the Etsy Beadweavers (EBW) January Challenge. The theme is to create something in RED.
I love the combination of red and gold, which is what I did for this jewelry set of a bracelet, ring and earrings. Wine red delicas (Japanese cylinder beads) are inter-played with 24K gold-plated delicas (yes! gold!) and further embellished with wine red czech glass beads.
